The Country Club at Woodloch Springs
Play is limited to guests of the Woodloch Pines Resort. This is a "country club for day" experience. The course has all the amenities and a challenging design as well. It opened in 1992 and sports the modern target golf design. There are plenty of forced carries and it is one of the more demanding courses in the Pocono region.
Woodloch's spectacular, 18-hole, championship, par-72 golf course winds its challenging way over 6,579 yards of fern-carpeted forests, lush wetlands and broad upland meadows. With four sets of tees on every hole, all levels of play can be accommodated. The outstanding signature 14th hole requires a dramatic 220-yard carry over "Hells Gate Gorge" which is carved from the rugged mountainside by rushing water some 200 feet below. Open since 1992, this breathtaking course has been given national recognition by both GOLF Magazine and Golf Digest as one of the finest courses in America as well as being noted as a "rare" find in Met Golfer Magazine.
Where To Booze & Grub: The Grille Room at the course features a grill menu. The Terrace Dining Room and the Vista Dining Room present a more formal atmosphere. Attire is smart-casual and jeans are not permitted. Most resort guests eat on Woodloch's Traditional American Plan. The resort's Heritage Nightclub hosts a Broadway-themed show on Wednesday and Sundays, as well as other bands and performers other days of the week. Babysitting available. The Inn and Main Dining Room at Woodloch Pines offer a selected seasonal menu choice and are based on availability. If you plan on sightseeing in the local area, the Boat House Restaurant in Hawley is another superb option.
