Golfcourse.com Review: This course's greens are very undulating. There is a par 5 hole that requires an approach shot over water to a peninsula green. This course was host of the N.T.A. Women's Collegiate Championship in 1993.

Avg. Golfcourse.com Player Review: 4.5/5.0. "Wonderful old style course set in the Georgia pines, open fairways, 2 tier greens, #11 a par 5 over water will pucker you, if I lived here I'd play this dandy on a daily basis… Consistently inconsistent, spotty fairways and greens, rude service, UGA golf team doesn't even play here but great practice facilities… Played here for more than 20 years and seen tremendous improvements, usually in great shape save the occasional disappointing green, a personal favorite… Great course, some very pretty holes, RTJ Sr. did a fine job… The utmost value for the price… Best course around, wish they kept it in better shape… Impressed with the overall conditions, treated nicely even in all my University of Tennessee garb… Not well managed, fairways hard and dry, dirt patches, fungus on greens… Wonderful course always in immaculate condition."

Best Bar Nearby:  Athens has a new claim to fame ("Birthplace of R.E.M." was getting old as a moniker): UGA has been named to Playboy's Top 10 Party Schools in the country for 2006.  All those Southern belles hang out at Firehouse or Flaningan's, both on East Clayton Street.
