Golfcourse.com Review: This scenic course is located next to Chesapeake Bay. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens are small. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, plus numerous greenside and fairway sand bunkers have been positioned throughout the course.

Avg Golfcourse.com Player Review: 4.5/5.0 on 2 reviews. A quote, "This is a nice course for everyday play. They have recently put in a lot of money into revamping it, and the conditions were great for a municipal course, particularly the greens. They have some good specials, such as a $20 early bird special (cart included) and unlimited twilight play after 3pm for $22, so if you are on a tight budget or play a lot of practice rounds this is definitely one of the best values around."

Best Bar Nearby: Jeff recommends the party atmosphere at Bar Norfolk, where patrons are encouraged to dance on the bar or swing on the bar swing. I hear good things about Middie's, Omni Hotel Complex, Newport News, sounds like an outdoor military meat market with girls in bikinis serving ice cold beer out of metal tubs. In Hampton, Ray recommends Goodfella's, live Blues & Rock, 30-something crowd, "real bar" atmosphere. Also, nearby Rooney's is a divier, grungier 20-something hang with live music. OR, Hooter's (W. Mercury & Coliseum Dr, near Hampton Coliseum).

Where To Grub: Doumar's BBQ has been a Norfolk tradition since the 40's, and claim to have invented the ice cream cone. OR, for great seafood, Pat recommends Scale Of The Whale, Portsmouth. Golf Coast Magazine recommends Sunday brunch at the Peninsula Room Restaurant. US Airways magazine recommends Blue Crab for fresh crabs and exceptional seafood with a modern, savory twist, and a noteworthy wine list. Call ahead for a table. Or downtown's Vintage Kitchen for a menu of simple, regional sophistication.

Or hit downtown Norfolk's emerging "Restaurant Row" Granby Street for fine restaurants, funky cafe's, martini bars, and beer pubs that attract visitors heading to and from theaters, clubs, and other nearby venues. Granby Street standouts include Club Soda (111 W Tazewell) for pineapple-upside-down-cake martinis in a sleek setting, Blues Alley Bistro and Cafe (455 Granby) is Norfolk's most serious jazz joint for late-night tunes in a cognac lounge, or locals fave Empire Little Bar & Bistro (245 Granby) for cozy martinis and tapas.

For Norfolk Gentlemen's clubs, Shore Drive seems to be the Red Light district, check out Cheetah's (7915 Shore Dr), Foxy Ladies (8158 Shore Dr), J.B.'s Gallery Of Girls (8154 Shore Dr). Also in Norfolk, Grinder's (3822 Hampton Blvd), Little Ladies (2325 E. Little Creek Rd), or RC's II (7661 Granby St), near upscale shopping at MacArthur Center.

Where To Stay: Virginia Beach's Cavalier Hotel has hosted Presidents, celebrities, and Big Bands since 1930. Traditional winged brick architecture with modern amenities.

For Gentlemen's Clubs near Hampton, not sure about Treasure Chest? (1304 E. Pembroke Ave, Hampton), Blue Flame? (1425 N, King, Hampton), also J.B.'s Gallery Of Girls (1428 G. Wash Hwy, Chesapeake), R.D.'s Gallery Of Girls (11312 Jefferson Ave & 14872 Warwick Blvd, Newport News).
