Golf.com Review: This course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect some uneven lies. The fairways are tree lined and bordered by a standard cut of rough. The fast greens vary in undulation. The signature hole is #18, a 407-yard, par 4, requiring a long tee shot up a straightaway fairway, then an approach shot over a lake, highlighted by a scenic fountain, to the green. Walking the course is permitted after 3 PM. Formerly a private facility, Oak Tree Country Club is now open to both members and guests. For additional information call the pro shop at (724)528-9984.
Where To Booze & Grub: You can't be in the northwest corner of PA without going to orignal store of the king of Pennsylvania wings, Quaker Steak & Lube (www.quakersteakandlube.com). Stock car theme, 20 sauces, cold beer, and house drinks with names like Leaded Lube-N-Ade. They make Fat Guy's Top 5 Wings On The Planet. Take a bottle of their hot sauce home for grillin'.
