Fat Guy Golf Monthly
This is just a spot to highlight a few pages on the site every month, based on such whims as where I've been playing lately, good seasonal destinations, where the Tour's playing, and other favorites.
March 2011- The Vegas Issue

Admittedly I've never been to Vegas, but I've been collecting little nuggets on Vegas golf and party spots for a decade. Here's where to play, booze, crash, grub, and hit the pool.
Vegas March Madness Golf Weekend-
Gather your hoops cronies, work on your Dickie V. impression, and head to Vegas for the best spot to enjoy March Madness outside of going to the tournament.
The boys at TravelGolf.com tailor Vegas golf to what's in your wallet.

The Hangover Golf Weekend

Whether for a real bachelor party or a fake one ("Ooo, I get to be the bachelor this time!"), get your wolf pack together for a golf weekend you'll never, umm, remember.
Swingers Golf Weekend

"Vegas, baby, Vegas!!!" Swingers put Vegas back on the map after Sin City's 1990's family-friendly marketing fiasco. So start with the beautiful babies in L.A., and make your way towards a Vegas cocktail waitress' trailer in the wee hours.
Fat Guy Course Of The Month- The Badlands GC

Fat Guy Link Of The Month- www.tripcaddie.com
Per The Accidental Golfer on WorldGolf.com, "Now there's a website that allows traveling golfers to not only plan their golf trip in one central location, but banter back and forth, keep track of bets and awards, tell a few jokes and store memories long after the trip. The website, which launched in the fall, is called TripCaddie.com, and it works much the same way some of the fantasy sports websites work.
A group, whether it be four, eight, 16 or whatever, appoints a leader, just as a fantasy league would have a commissioner, and each of them have access to a private site that only they can see. Like Facebook or other social media, the site has a wall where members can post comments or discuss details of the outing or trip. It also has a list of travel and tee partners they can use, such as Orbitz and GolfNow.com.
“We are focused on becoming the one-stop shop for all buddy golf trip needs, so golfers don’t have to scour multiple websites to plan their trips” said TripCaddie.com President and co-founder, Jon Morse.
The website offers features for groups to collaboratively build an itinerary, create pairings, and track scoring while capturing the memories with custom photo and video albums and blogs. The service is free for now."
