Per a 5/27/01 Philly Inquirer article, recently (Spring '01) began $2MM renovation back to original Ross design. Bunkers have been reshaped, course rerouted back to original. Pond added, will switch to bent grass gradually over next couple years. Now measures 6400 yards from the tips.
Golf Magazine Review: Plenty of character but not one of those popular high-end publics. Not big on amenities or service, but a charming, newly-restored Ross layout. It's architectual heritage was rediscovered recently when a longtime Jeffersonville resident remembered seeing the Ross name on a sign on the course. Historic touches abound, as evidenced by a terrific front 9 stretch. There's the squarish, roller-coaster green on the 576-yard 6th, the platform putting surface on the 383-yard 7th, and the terrifying, downhill 195-yard 8th, with a creek in front. Perhaps it was these features that inspired a young Tom Fazio, who grew up caddying here.
Golfcourse.com Review: This hilly course is always kept in excellent shape and is difficult to walk. Water only comes into play on one hole, however, the course is well bunkered. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are of medium size and speed. The green fees indicated are good for all-day play.
Golfcourse.com Player Review Avg: 3.5/5.0. Recent reviews site course construction does not interfere with play, good pace, and good value.
