Golf.com Review: This links-style course is located on a mountain and affords some spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are tiered and medium to large in size. Water hazards (lakes, creeks, ponds, and streams) come into play on six holes. The signature hole is #12, a 433-yard, par 4, featuring an elevated tee that offers an outstanding view of three mountain ranges. Lindsay Ervin did the routing on this course.
Fat Guy Notes:
PennsylvaniaGolf.com nominated one of Hidden Valley's par-3's as one of PA's best:
"15. Hidden Valley Golf Club in Hidden Valley, No. 15, 185 yards - Slightly uphill with a rock-strewn creek cutting diagonally between tee and green from left to right, this hole is a hallway hallmark of the tight tree-lined fairways at beautiful Hidden Valley. Bunkers on the left and right front of the green conceal the putting surface, which is large and deep. You won't know how close you are until you drive up in the cart."
And at least one user at OOBGolf.com thought Hidden Valley was good enough to nominate the par-4 4th hole as a favorite:

The Golf Course at Hidden Valley, Hidden Valley, Pennsylvania
Number 4 - 391 Yard Par 4

Why it's a great hole-
Hidden Valley is a beautiful mountain course with many incredible views. This hole is even more spectacular in the fall.
Tips for playing this hole-
All downhill par 4, so tee it high and let it fly. Left side of fairway is a better angle. Fairly large green.

This is a very challenging hole! The temptation is there to go for the gusto and that spells trouble... Just Smooth it!!!
I agree with Bud, the left is preferable, but it opens up on the right....10/7/08
